During the summer of 2014, I worked as an intern at the Arizona Daily Star, in Tucson, Ariz. During ten weeks in summer, I covered news related to local elections and the U.S.-Mexico border, along with a few additional pieces. Through this work, I gained experience working on deadline in a traditional news room. It was great learning from my editors and from the other reporters (and pretty fun seeing my name in print every week!) Click on the blue text below these screenshots to read each article.
